Start with Lagbaja and the rest will come to you naturally.
probably an album made in some random village in 1982 that only like, five people have heard since.
as far as i know probably expensive shit by fela kuti.
Amanaz
This is it
Remain in Light
What particular region? I really love a lot of the music that comes from Mali. Especially music of the Bambara people.
The Ziggurat

I don't know if it's the best, but I agree that it's a great album
Fela Kuti, William Onyeabor, the list goes on...

came here to post this, although what >>64040862 said is probably a more fair statement.

What's a good starting place for Fela Kuti?

Zombie
Sleep Cycle.

this was recorded in New York
kendrick lamar - to pimp a butterfly
Paul Simon - Graceland
I'm going to take a guess and say most anons don't actually listen to much African music.
Would recommend checking out a website called something along the lines of 'tapes from africa'. William and Fela are definitely good but there's a lot more good music outta there that most people never encounter. Off the top of my head, Aby Ngana Diop, Celestine Ukwu, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley.
^^

Fela Kuti's discography to be honest, senpai.
>No one has mentioned Die Antwoord
Pretty much them and Goldfish. South Africa is okay, I'm pretty sure the rest of the continent doesn't even have music
Yolandi also has an amazing body, I bet she's into freaky shit
Nozinja Lodge or something Anouar Brahem has put out.
