Artists psychologically are the opposite of autists - having an excess of empathy / responsiveness to stimuli / high emotional intelligence / high expressive capacity
Artists are weird but not in an autistic way. Autists tend to be STEM types.
I know a lot of people in the art world and the STEM world. Artists are the most emotionally intelligent people I've ever met, STEM people are often literal autists.

Bjork is the opposite of autist. She's almost painfully affected by emotional stimuli. Like Liz Frazer. They've done brain scans of artists, and they often have brains more similar to schizophrenics, kind of like a high bandwith where a lot of information comes in at once, and more than can be ordered in more 'normal' ways.
Basically they're highly attuned to things around them, as opposed to autists who are stuck more in a narrow logical mindframe.

Again, as someone in the art world, these people are definitely far from autists. They're challenged in a completely opposite way, if anything. Too empathetic for their own good.

I say this as someone with autism who loves to act.
Been in lots of community theater.
Not big on STEM stuff and I love music.
That being said outside of acting and some creative writing work I have little artistic talent.
