People often confuse Nightcore with Happy Hardcore, Nightcore is just sped up songs and is a pile of shit but Happy Hardcore is actual music.

vaporwave started off with songs that were intentionally bad, so as to mirror the artist's disenchantment with capitalism
people liked the concept, but then people conflating liking the concept with liking the music, so people started saying vaporwave was actually good
long story short, vaporwave isnt good and people only enjoy it for the aesthetic value
