practice to learn notes by ear, then practice making the notes one by one with your voice (in your range), then practice doing scales. be sure to also not strain yourself, as that can hurt you.

avoid closing your throat when you hit high notes, use your tongue to produce consonants and modify vowels slightly so that air keeps flowing
