Post 2 album with similar covers and others say which is better.
I go with Rush on this one.

I don't usually see much love for Song for America on /mu/, but I adore that album.
I like finding these.

By sheer coincidence, both albums were released in the same month of the same year, have similar covers, and were both sophomore albums
This one's kind of a stretch.

Fuck it, I'm going to listen to Bryter Layter so I can have a proper opinion on it
Though I'll probably settle on Akuma no Uta anyway

Fuck, I should have done this sooner I guess. Bryter Layter is an incredibly beautiful album, and it's actually made me feel pretty optimistic...
However, the tracks bleed together in my mind. There was definitely some variation throughout the album, which will solidify as I listen to it again; but it wasn't obvious enough for my taste. I like albums with some sort of perceptible movement or change throughout, I guess.
I think I'm going to say I prefer Akuma no Uta, if only because it has Naki Kyoku on it. Though I feel like I should listen to it again to be sure if it deserves it, which is really saying something about Bryter Layter.
This was a good experience nonetheless.

The Swans album is mediocre as shit so I'm gonna go with Opeth

They are both pretty mediocre.

Kansas. It's one of their best releases too
