There is no way you can say that Sleep has not cut a 7. This band is insanely influential within their subgenre. They aren't advancing some accessible (eg, compromised) and peripheral (eg, not representative of the 'real deal') version of stoner doom ... at least i assume this is the complaint about Deafheaven. "Dopesmoker" is a DEFINITIVE album.
Saying Sleep is the Deafheaven of stoner is like saying Burzum is the Deafheaven of black metal.
