There's nothing to pretend. It's an amazing album and it perfectly blends blues, rock, jazz, atonality and avant garde poetry. Watch the Captain Beefhart documentary if you still don't get it.

I enjoyed this album, it's just a fun listen for me but I understand completely why someone wouldn't enjoy it.
I didn't like spiderland or person pitch so why should I be bothered that people can enjoy them.
