ITT: Albums you think are great but /mu/ would not like.
Pic related. It also has an unattractive cover which would only make it even harder for /mu/ to appreciate it.
i agree with you that and their first album are fantastic super lofi garage rock
too bad they got rid of the lofi with their 3rd album

BDoD is neato
>>63847737
Would you say this is the best Incubus album? I've never really listened to them.
Michael Smith- s/t
it's just sincere pretty folk rock

I wouldn't say the third album had super profound production or anything. I hardly noticed a difference.
>>63847624
listened to these guys a lot a couple of years back. great music to drink beers to that's for sure
>>63847624
I thought I was the only one
/mu/ will and likely already has dismissed this album as wank but I just find it so entertaining and fun
And the instrumental interplay is gorgeous
>>63848702
what genre is it?
>Bondage Fairies - What You Didn't Know When You Hired Me
It's kinda cheesy, but it's catchy as fuck. Literally one of the catchiest records I have ever listened to.
>>63848714
Math metal. Think something like modern instrumental math rock but atonal, extremely heavy, even more complex, and more chaotic
>it's just looped city pop with a hi-pass filter
>it's meme music
>it's uncreative as fuck
yes, it's all those things, but it captures the atmosphere of a late 80s anime beach episode in the middle of summer perfectly, and it makes me all giddy and warm inside. There's no irony, no false pretense, no "deep" meta-commentary, there's only fun and groovy tunes.
And I don't see why French House producers should get away with doing the same shit and not Futurefunk producers.
>>63848728
I know what Math Metal is supposed to sound like, but it often repulses me because it ends up being very similar to djent.
>>63848809
Nah, this doesn't really sound similar to djent. The album after this does (and it's kind of lame) but this one stays away from the whole chugging thing

>band name taken from a hentai manga that used to get published by a semi-mainstream U.S. comic book company
2pleb4me
>>63848702
Fuck yeah dude. I'm right here with you. I'll just go even further and say that everything that Colin composes is fucking gold.
Melodies that could not be conceived in conventional music and yet I sometimes catch myself humming BTA songs. I love how it all comes together.
>>63847956
Personally, yes. They're kind of one of those bands in which no one agrees on which album's their best.
>>63847624
dude i had only heard of these guys before this thread, im listening now and its fucking awesome, thanks so much
AM and the Currents.
>>63847624
Obectively god tier but mu would definitely hate
Anything that is fun. /mu/ hates fun.
>>63851112
my second favourite Dire Straits album after Brothers in Arms
one of my favorite prog records in history
>>63851126
S/T is way better. Love Over Gold and Communiqué are also better than BIA desu
>>63851200
I dunno man
I really love 'Why Worry' and 'Walk of Life'
>>63851083
fuck the haters, Mac is great even though Another One was a bit disappointing
Lookout Records (pop-)punk that I listened to way too much in high school
DJ Rozwell - anything that's not Sludge Dredd, NOTIR, or Murder Burger
I am quite a fan of this album. Artwork is bad though and I think /mu/ browsers have probably written INXS off as just another pop act from the 80's.
>>63851130
Does /mu/ not like Coheed or somethin? They're my favorite band of all time
>>63851458
uh, its mixed really. there's been a few fans that post GA:1 and go "THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD HOW DO U NOT LIKE IT REEEEEE" but ive met a lot of people that like em
>>63851220
Good songs but not as good as Telegraph Road, Lions, Once Upon a Time In The West etc
>>63851530
LD are good but PBtT blew them out of the water with their first 2
>>63848728
Technical metal is already a well established term. You don't need to import terms from indie rock styles like when they tried to make "post metal" a thing (hint: it didn't work)
