I'm looking for an album with guitar only, but it needs to be something unique and unconventional. I like Derek Bailey quite much, but maybe something a bit more mellow (think Boris - Flood or Neil Young's Dead man OST)
>>
guys, please?
>>
uve probably heard john fahey and its pretty obvious, but i guess most of his albums are just guitar and def unique
>>
also bill orcutt fits ur
criteria perfectly

thank you very much guys.
Also, I don't mind some other instruments. I'm just not looking for rock or something overproduced.
This is also very close to what I'm looking for:

Guys, this is it. I've listened to some songs by both guitarists on youtube and this is is some life changing music right here. There is no way I could thank you enough. This board is so full of mean people and bad jokes, but every now and then people like you come around and recommend such fucking great music.
>>
You seriously need to check out some Hans Reichel, not the daxophone records obviously, but the solo guitar ones.

thank you.
I skimmed trough a couple of songs on youtube and this stuff sounds really good. If any other musician is doing similar stuff on another instruments, I'd be glad to hear it. Forget what the thread was about. I really like free-improv that shows some emotion and simplicity amidst all the chaos (like when you hear a minor chord in the middle of all the atonal clusters and bursts)

Tetuzi Akiyama - Route 13 and for a big final dish look for a compilation titled "Guitar Solos 3" from Rift Records.

Maybe check out an album I upped the other day if you dig Bailey, even though it isn't really a solo record
