Is mid-late 2000's nostalgia a thing yet?

Listen to All Falls Down and tell me, f@m
yeah
take me back to the late 2000s golden age of p4k indie buzzbands
we didn't know how good we had it
2000 began 16 years ago
GTA: Vice City was 100% nostalgia for the 1980s, and it was released 16 years after 1986
GTA: Vice City was released 14 years ago
early-mid 2000s nostalgia > mid-late 2000s nostalgia

This, fucking hell this.
Indie died in 2010 and 2012 was the dead cat bounce. We've just been deluding ourselves since.
How about this?

I had an idea to pitch a sequel idea to Rockstar, which would be a Vice City-style follow-on to GTA V set in the mid-atlantic in 2002-2005 and based on The Wire, with subplots based on The West Wing, 24, and The Sopranos.
The soundtrack alone would be possibly the comfiest in all of GTA's history.

nostalgia is simply a yearning for the past, it doesn't matter how far back in the past, you could have nostalgia for 3 months ago if you wanted.
No, that's when the Bieber iPhone shitfest era started
Nostalgia has only caught up to early-2000s R&B and Nu-Metal. Wait a few more years.
