I've been setting mathematical models to noise:

Also I've been listening to this record lately:

considering that the prerequisites for making interesting noise are extensively listening to, thinking about and studying noise while properly investing yourself into your own work, and considering that nobody here is really doing any of these things, i wouldn't bet on it

ayo, this shit sounds pretty nutty even for duncan

>Bitter Earth is the much anticipated, long-in-the-making new album from John Duncan joined by a broad cast of adroit collaborators; Oren Ambarchi, Jim O’Rourke, Smegma, Chris Abrahams, Joe Talia, CM Von Hausswolff, Eiko Ishibashi, France Jobin - all written in dedication to Mika Vainio (who, for avoidance of doubt, is not dead!). It's a remarkable suite of cover versions - from The Gun Club to Nina Simone and Iggy Pop - and original material by an arch experimenter who continues to explore unfamiliar territory...

apparently it's a folk record
shit, cat

I don't know how I feel about this
>>
>>63801419
That kinda sums up Duncan's entire body of work for me.
>>
Do yall like rhythmic noise?
>>
>>63802302
I do. Idk if this counts but I'm feeling it

Same bro that's pretty cool

Check out Tudor's Rainforest. He rigged up a system for noises to play through various pieces of junk hung from the ceiling, creating feedback that plays off of itself.

visuals work nicely together with the noise

What program did you use to make those visuals
>>
>>63807915
MATLAB. All of the noise is also made in MATLAB

harsh noise sucks

>t. former harsh noise """artist"""

I bet you couldn't name 30 noise labels though.
>>
>>63809273
Why are you replying?
>>
>>63809235
I mean, you even still think "harsh noise"(and it's a stretch to even call this a proper genre, still after all these decades) equals noise in generral. What do you know?
>>
>>63809235
you suck
>>
>>63809336
I'm curious about the reasoning behind his statement.
The thread(and the general itself, I reckon) is dead anyway, it's not like I'm fucking up a good thing here.
>>
>>63809396
It's a troll you fucking idiot. Congrats on giving it attention. Let me guess, you'll respond to Johnny too?
>>
>>63809416
I don't really care if it is or isn't a troll or if he does or doesn't respond.
Settle down, sheesh. These threads are on their last legs anyway, who gives a shit about one shitpost more or less?
>>
>>63809475
Of course you don't. You're part of the reason they keep coming back. Fuck off.

>Who cares

Anyone who has an inkling of concern for this dying site. Fuck off.
>>
>>63809526
Alright, peace out.

>Anyone who has an inkling of concern for this dying site.

Concern for /mu/? Why the fuck would anyone invest themselves so much into a 4chan board(which was shit as far back as my memory goes, and I've been here for longer than I'd like to admit) that they develop feelings of concern about it?

This post feels weird but I can't be bothered to figure out why.
I think I'll just keep my perception of you as a massive faggot, alright? Peace.

Great thread, guys! Quality noise discussion!
>>
>>63811464
Nah, it just feels like you went on Discogs and randomly clicked through a bunch of compilations on the back of the handful of noise artists you do know about or found a list of labels and copypasted it, it doesn't feel like an individual independently compiled list of yours, you know? There's too much interconnection there. I guess I shold have said "30 labels aside from the obvious ones", maybe then you would have done a more convincing job.
End yourself, homo.
