Does /mu/ like the Red Hot Chili Peppers?

They shd be applauded for having taken up such an insane attempt to survive off of music by forcing themselves into the media, equally that's why you shd hate the fuck out of them. 50/50, like u'd feel about lenin.
The difference between their awesome and shit is massive. Sometimes they were after pay checks, which is totally fine, but when they tried they were the best band of their generation.
They're confusing.

i love lenin though

See! Isn't love a many spandex thang? Hate is inside it!
Damn he was hot
So many performances of theirs that would be fucking amazing to travel back in time to.

Just for this song. GLORIA MEANS LOVE

Nah not really.
Really like Behind the Sun and Breaking the Girl, though.
I think I liked them okay up to Blood Sugar Sex Magic and then they got really tepid for me.
early RHCP is interesting. Then they stuck around and became incredibly boring: one of those bands that just won't fuck off because no matter what they do they will sell
Every time you ask /mu/ this it's pretty much the same answer. Their early (relatively unknown music) was great but everything after that (when ppl discovered they existed) sucked.
>>63768162
but then again you're a fat, tranny piece of shit who listens to animal collective. can't wait until you kill yourself.
>>63768925
Have you considered that when they were relatively unknown they were actually making better music? But some people don't get this and just think >You just dislike it because it's popular!
obligatory i only like frusciante post
they are one of the more talented big acts of the 90s and 2000s I would say.
I enjoy many of their popular singles .
>>63769015
he's pretty great tho
>>63769015
I only like frusciante'post. Obligatory, in his sexdungeon. #gnohomeo
i revered Frusciante in my teens and learned everything I know about playing guitar from obsessively watching RHCP live videos
that being said, RHCP's best stuff was done before he was even in the band
anyone else kinda miss that mid late 90s rock genre style of music? lotta good bands did their thing then.
>>63768987
bitter friend?
>>63768139
Everything up to By the Way was good, but Stadium was when they started going to shit.
>>63768987
why are you upset
and when do I listen to animal collective thats a weird thing to say
If my main concern in music was still melody, i'd call RHCP a great band.
In my current state of incurable anomie, i'd say they're annoyingly formulaic but resign that they have a unique sound.
Find me a more underrated rhcp song

I find them unbearable.
Sounds like Boards of Canada for children and metalheads.

officially, fuck no, but secretly kinda... frusciante's guitar sound is pretty good sometimes. i never listen to them alone, but if someone puts on 'All Around the World' or 'Dani California' and I probably wouldn't object... if I'm drunk enough.
One of the best live shows alive right now 2bh.
>>63768139
Yes, I love RHCP. I understand that not everybody does, and for legitimate reasons, but the elitism on this board is annoying...
