Recorded mostly throughout 2014 and 2015, this is a compilation of demos of songs which will eventually end up on my second record "Homoti" later this year in much better, complete finished form.

Partly recorded on various cassette tapes (pre-recorded and blank) on a boombox in various shitty group homes in Ontario, and partly recorded at home on a laptop and cassette recorders, this is just a very long foray into my creative mind and how I love hearing and creating music. Almost cluttered but still cohesive and listenable at over 90 minutes, here is Homoti Demos 1991.

I have an idea for one of these threads, feel free to tell me it's shit:

Post your music and then someone after listening replies by telling you what it reminds them of. Kind of like guessing influences or giving insight to the creator as one what their sound is reminiscent of. Because as a musician, I always feel odd trying to label my music. Not saying I make avant garden shit just I always feel like an idiot saying emo or shoegaze or something. Isn't it usually someone's who coins a bands genre and not the band itself?? But continuing the idea, the reply could also give criticism and list other bands the musician would also like. For example: your stuff sounds like smashing pumpkins and sunny day real estate, you might be interested in listening to built to spill.

Just an idea to freshen up these threads. Also don't post your shit without commenting on someone else's

I like it. The part leading into the solo is great and before the end (the chorus maybe?). It breaks from the shimmery wall of twinkly guitar and kinda forces you out of the chill groove of the verse, sorta saying like, "Hey! Listen yo! I'm sad!"

The vocals are solid and work great on the verse but they seem way to relaxed on the chorus. It sounds the same and I think it could be helped by singing in a high pitch. It's also not as catchy as the instruments.

This is fantastic criticism, thank you! I'm really trying to work on my melody writing. I can write great passages on guitar and write songs well, but being catchy with vocals is a tougher point for me. I'm working at it. As for my voice, I'm a one trick pony haha. I'm practice for a few hours everyday though to improve. You could check out other songs by us to see more diverse vocal ranges and styles of mine. Off the top of my head you could listen to should sleep, Bermuda, and saccharine. I really strain in some parts on those. All those are off our album you feel bad about you

Well, this is it. The new Tears of Chronus album, Quarry To My Conscience, Vol. II: Relapsus releases through Burn Ward tomorrow, and in anticipation, I've decided to make it available to stream until then. The digital version that will be downloadable features two hidden bonus tracks upon download, and will be available in physical cassette form.
The album is an exploration of depression and mental illness and what happens when one allows the cycle of solitude and despair to twist one's self into something one barely recognizes, and from which one can only be released by taking the step necessary to seek help and find gratitude. It is a continuation of my acoustic album, Quarry To My Conscience, which dealt with suicidal depression. This album, however, has a different ending, but you'll have to take a trip inside to find out.

Sonically it encases everything that comes with the whirling colors of mental unrest, from bleak doom metal to biting hip-hop to soaring shoegaze and progressive rock. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Absolutely loved this. Been listening to it a lot the last week. Did you make this all on your own? Which was your favorite track to make? I loved practically all of them.

All the sounds of the world really brought it together, feels really natural.

63710294 here, I already have a couple of your albums I specifically really like trash.
Thanks for listening to, let alone reccing my stuff

This Dark Internet - Trapped In A Small Enclosed Space For The Rest Of Eternity
>harsh noise, noise rock, hip-hop
It's a lot more listenable than the tags would suggest. THIRD AND FINAL ALBUM COMING OUT SOON. Check out the first single on my bandcamp.

Cover is super gay, but I guess that's the whole trend of nightcore. Haven't ventured much into nightcore aside from that one "essential" chart but this seems to be a pretty good release regardless of my knowledge of such a genre.
>>63709287
Listened to this single the other day. Bookmarked for the upcoming album. I hope you're using the same artwork for the full album?
>>63718636
Noticed you live in Spokane. So sorry to hear that. I would say that field recordings and such music like it is not as easy as most people would like to hope it is. I can't see much of any musical merit in this release, and that's coming from a guy who loves John Duncan and other field recordings. Is this your first musical release ever? Because I would suggest learning an instrument and making more traditional music before venturing into a more subjective, very fragile form of music. I like the album artwork though! Keep on releasing stuff and I'll keep you on my watch list to see if any cool stuff shows up!
>>
>>63719724
Could you tell me more about why you didn't like my track? In what way does it have no music merit? Did you listen to the whole track? I clearly am playing the saxophone on it.

I've been playing jazz practically my whole life and am at a fairly high level. I've only done traditional music my whole life.

I think Another Life is a very good song.

I'm really sorry. I've got multiple bandcamps open and I drank some weed-tea awhile ago. I don't remember hearing any saxophone, so it must've been someone else in the thread and I was reading your page? Not sure what happened here.
>>
>>63720070
It's possible you were listening to mine. I have an effect over the saxophone so maybe that is why you didn't recognize it. The track is 9 minutes long and sounds like thunder to start if that rings a bell.
>>
>>63720070
But my music doesn't really sound like field recordings at all, just uses a few sounds.
