There's no real big flaw. Some songs are more than not flawed. I think in all fairness if graded that would get it an 8/10. I'm not quite getting that much out of it outside the lyrics which are probably the best of any Weezer album outside Pinkerton. EWBAITE just felt more emotional. This is cool because it's actually something new. It's an album as an observer. This is good because I never wanted Rivers' life to fall apart just so we can get a good record.
Haven't listened to it, but seeing that it's Weezer, it's shit.

I used to think I didn't like Weezer being more pop-focused, turns out they were just doing it wrong up until know because they fucking excelled at it this time around.

I can't agree more. Gf and I broke up yesterday and I was feeling pretty shitty and then I finally listened to the album and for some reason I snapped out of the sadness and just decided to have a good day. It's a fun, uplifting album. I mean shit, Wind On Our Sail is one of the most uplifting songs I've heard in forever.

Pretty even album overall. Don't really dislike any of it, but also not a boatload of standouts. Can we just talk about how fucking fantastic their choices for the singles were? Seems like everyone's favorites are the singles, barring some lukewarm reception on TGFG. They were really on point with the selection.

Maybe I listened to this drivel when I was an ignorant high school kid in white suburbia, but after growing up and getting some insight into the diversity of the world, I've only come to the conclusion that this kind of music is best suited for soundtracking the waddling of fat white families through culture-deprived shopping malls. Honestly, how do these formulaic rock riffs compare to the scatterbrained genius of Young Thug, the heartbreaking prophecies of Kendrick Lamar, or the high energy activism of MIA? This music is devoid of ANY geopolitical or progressive values, and I absolutely refuse to let something like that into my ears. If you enjoy this music you might as well fly out to Mississippi and spend the rest of your days fucking pigs to skinhead punk bands, Cletus.
