I think I remember you from a year ago or so with some psychedelic stuff. This sounds really cool, I like the stereo effect on the guitar and the drums are tight.

I play ambient and drone music on the show. Don't know if I can trust /mu/ with the name and not getting shit on from being doxxed because 4chan. Each week I play an artist or two that's either local or small-time (that I usually find here). From these threads I've played Rest You Sleeping Giant, ky==, Derridada, Dogs in Reverse, Tenebris Lake, Curacy, Larksburg, Hoxollem, Glimlicht, Noc, aesthetic limb, and I'm playing some more artists this upcoming Thursday.

I listened to "September Again". How did you record this? This has a lot of cool ideas, but isn't executed that well. The best thing my band has done was properly mic everything that needed mic-ed and run everything into a mixer which we then touch up in post.
>>63674978
an eternal recc from me, dude
>>63674640
"tell a phone" is really chill. I was uncertain of what to expect with the lack of information and the "devotional" tag. "huh?" had a bit of a rough start, but it developed nicely. This isn't really my thing, as cool as it is.

This is really interesting I fuck with Tell a Phone a lot, idk like a lot of releases here there's something missing, listen to DNTEL and see if you can figure it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCpVSTJTc3I

I think it's a touch of Analog
>>63674785
I feel like the problem with this is that your synths are too small and dainty, they need some reverb one of the things that makes synth wave what it is is that it really captures the listener, listen to this song to see what I mean, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzfQMy-WUPE I feel like this is just playing sawtooth synths and saying calling it a day, it's missing that noir atmosphere
>>63674742
This is really good, I wish there was a bit more movement that being said I think it may be a bit better without it I really like We Used to Chase the Moonrise it has this glow to it that reminds me of a mellotron but not quite
>>63674632
This is oddly mixed even for lo-fi it makes it hard to enjoy, I can't tell if the vocals are too loud or what it is but the mix throws me off

Oh every song is recorded 1 track at a time by me alone, that one is I think the weakest on the album IMO. I've got a new band with a more standard lineup (bass, drums, second guitarist) so I'm rewriting a lot of the songs. I don't think that I'm going to bother with re-working and recording that one as it's honestly boring in nature.
from:>>63674632

I like your sounds a lot, I can't really criticize drone music heavily because honestly it all pretty much reminds me of hype music for an indie band, but that's legitimately not a bad thing. I like the use of field recordings in songs as background noise a lot (like wind, fans, and cars driving by) both the starter and ending songs on that mix have a drone section at the end and the first one has a field recording of a bunch of people talking on a bus, so I definitely get your inspiration there. The song Hum has some really intense ASMR vibes which I dig btw.
>>
>>63675431
Yeah I recorded this all when I was in high school and just learning how to properly write songs and record, I'm going to be producing a larger project with a bigger band as I stated in >>63675474

FROM:>>63674632

Not really anything specifically to say besides I think that you should maybe branch out a little farther away from stereotypical "vaporwave" niches. Your featured track's drums are really typical but the first song on the release is honestly pretty unique. I would lead with that one if I was you.

Oh man, I know how frustrating that can be. Singer for our band has spent dozens upon dozens of hours in the studio with tracks, cutting takes, cutting our takes, and mixing. I've found we play better live than if we each cut takes and layer them for the track, but our drummer managed to fuck up the mixer somehow. Good luck on the new lineup!
