Yeah, as far as pop/contemporary music goes where the person's voice is the centerpiece.
But where everything else is concerned, it's inexcusable. Fucking DJ Khaled doesn't even produce his own tracks. He's just some dude who pays other people to produce and rap on tracks. And he's considered a musician. If that doesn't annoy you, I dunno what does.

Why? Hell, what you said about Khaled's process is true through songs on Dylan albums on songs all throughout his career. Some of the time Dylan didn't even write the words, he just re-appropriated them to suit his needs.
