Was actually there on the night, not too far away to the left from the "fuck you Wes" guy but a lil further back, friends with him on Facebook after a convo regarding the night.
I was one of the very few refunded personally by the promoter who's a great guy just trying to help the shitty local gig scene out with a semi-famous band.
Pissed off when people threw drinks at the gear though, uncalled for.

I'm from South Yorkshire mate, Doncaster has no scene so all their bands come over to Sheffield where I live for gigs, same with Chesterfield.
Guitarist for my band was friends with the promoter who I kinda knew.
I wasn't too pissed cause I got my refund and I'd had a few drinks, and I got to see Wes' meltdown which was better than what I guessed the show would've been like.

Honestly man, even local bands don't play in Doncaster cause there's absolutely no venues and no promoters wanting to take a risk.
South Yorkshire outside of Sheffield is useless for gigs, so these guys as young as 12/13 take buses from their cities to here to support a bill of like 6 bands for no pay.
