Ah Um many times the first 5-6 tracks (of which I fucking love better git, and really like boogie and bird calls) but I still have to digest it. You know it's quite long.

I know exactly what that collection is, and in most cases - certainly with big names like Basie - there are better sounding collections out there, such as the one I posted.

as for big names who made it into albums/best of form already this is probably true, but if you're after older, lesser known jazz artists that only got their stuff released on 78s back in the day and were quickly forgotten after, the collection is quite valuable because they're often the only ones who did the job of looking after the records and information on sessions and musicians

I'm loving this piano work, back round is also a nice touch. I love when a piano song goes longer than 3 min, because I get really into it by that point.
Summertime is such a great track, the chords at the 7:30 mark feel so good.
This is one of the most overlooked Coltrane albums.
