>>63550302

>>63550302

>>63550345
P O S E U R
>>63550385
Actually good tho. Only pretentious if you listen to Public Castration
>>63550302
I listen to my albums in FLAC....with a full cable riser pre amp set up
I know every word from Buyers Market
>>63550426
...with no Merzbow on it...
I'm not
i think limp bizkit is a modern classic and hold them in higher regard than 95% of all /mu/core
>>63550460
I call myself open minded, but'll shit fury over you if you say anything bad about my music.
>>63550302
sometimes I put the music i'm listening to through a reverb pedal to see if sounds good
it usually does
>1999-2005 era Spongebob
Watch this, guys. You'll tear up.

I just went through the entire hourly bandcamp thread on here.
I worry for most of you.
>>63550508
I'm going to start running all my music through a Wah Pedal
How pretentious am I? How pretentious am I?!? I had a bowl of noise for breakfast this morning
I literally don't care what you people listen to. Your vanity pisses me off to no end however. This fucking façade is what prohibits human progress.
I know all the lyrics to all the fast songs
>>63552098
8 pretentious!hood job!
I think that Les Rallizes Denudes is better than The Velvet Underground.
I got tinnitus on purpose so I can listen to beautiful music every second of every day.
>>63550302
One time I was listening to time machines through headphones and it took me 10 minutes to realise that the album had ended and I was listening to my neighbour's hedge trimmer.
I'm dead serious.
>>63550526
damn...like seriously, damn...
>>63550302
I eat nails for breakfast
without the milk
>>63552733
Most things are better than The Velvet Underground.
>>63552788
kek
>>63550302
I only listen to Merzbow and Grandeur of Hair
>>63550302
Pretty goddamn pretentious, despite my efforts to not be :( I can't help but scoff when people give opinions different than mine, and when I talk about other's interests I unwillingly do it in a condescending tone. Even my sweet mother calls me a snob, and I haven't seen her in months.
>>63550526
Spongebob Squarepants will always be a real nigga in my eyes.
>>63550526
the feels caught me off guard
>>63550526
Why did that comfy late 90s/early 00s feel go away?
>>63550302
2.5/10, I'm just here for some recommendations. I'll listen to anything for a few minutes.
Pretentious enough to love xiu xiu
>>63550302
My friends said my music sounded like it was made by people on drugs, so I put on some John Frusciante to show them what that really sounds like.
>Yeah, so?
It was off Smile From The Streets You Hold.
>>63553087
What sort of stuff do you usually listen to and do you have anything in particular you're looking for genre/style wise?
>>63553098
A Promise is my favorite album.
>>63552896
Grandeur of hair isn't really overly pretentious from the usage of pop-structures and such, it's actually the most accessible harsh noise/noise wall album I can really think of. Actually got me into the genre.
Good album though, opening drumming on the first track never ceases to get me seriously hype.
>>63553155
I like linkin park, rage against the machine, and foo fighters. Looking for some more hard rock/metal
I've listened to over 100 Merzbow albums
>>63550334
I think the first time you hear about a new album from an artist you should listen to the entire album in a sitting
but after that, singles are okay
i'm listening to a scott walker cover of scream and shout
>>63553272
Same stuff I listened to a lot way back when, most of the metal I've been listening to as of late has been stoner or sludge but I can prolly shoot you some stuff.
For hard rock I've really been enjoying truckfighters as of late, excellent desert rock and you'll enjoy them if you enjoy QOTSA.

If you like electronic styles in metal check out Godflesh, very sludgy and aggressive industrial metal. Streetcleaner is a good album.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsWv9nFLl_s
You've probably already listened to them but Faith no more's experimental work is good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjdiQIvx3Vo
For more shit like RATM and Linkin park's aggresive take on rap applied to metal-style rhythms Dalek are an absolute must. Politically charged industrial rap from the 90's; very angry, very good.

>>63553155
Genre and style wise I'll listen to anything, but I think I hold a preference for alternate rock. Like listening to atmosphere, the weeknd, failure, Hotline miami OST both 1&2, Nirvana, gorillaz... started listening to a perfect circle, but I'm kinda 50/50 on that.
Anyway point is, I'll take anything.
>>63553635
There's a lot of stuff I can dump for that so I'm just gonna post a list of miscellaneous reccomendations.

>>63550302

>>63550302
i like avant-garde and think jazz is the best genre of music
>>63550302
