How the fuck is grandfeathered your album of the year? The only good PSUB record is their first ep , the rest are lackluster af.
2016 has been a shit year for shoegaze so far , the new LSD&TSFG was lame as well.

I think it might actually be TLOP... and I didn't like it THAT much. 2016 has been overall disappointing. Someone please share something that changes this opinion.

Michael Formanek - The Distance

>Some pretty fantastic arrangements on this. It's quite dissonant and often free but the quality of the playing is just incredible. Formanek's solo in the first half of the prelude to the exoskeleton suite is brilliant. The variety of his ideas and his virtuosic playing is probably the best I've ever heard in a solo bass performance. You can hear him breathing the whole way through the solo and the arrangement he brings in on top of it later in the track is just perfect. Very light but ominous and very complementary to the mood of Formanek's soloing. He's very conscious about where the arrangement going harmonically and responds very well to the changes, even though it's all quite dissonant and has pretty vague tonality.
