When I'm struggling with lyrics, it helps me to take poems/lyrics that are already have a reputation and set it to music.

So... make this a song:

A Poison Tree
BY WILLIAM BLAKE

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I waterd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole,
When the night had veild the pole;
In the morning glad I see;
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

>>
>>63464771
Thanks, I appreciate the praise

I really liked your thing, you have a great voice. I could see myself listening to that more often
>>
>>63465044
thank you. it sounds have you have decent breath under your singing at the ends of your phrases, but in the middle it gets kind of lost. you have seem to have a little trouble staying on key. i would practice breathing with your diaphragm and concentrating on breath support as you sing. this will make your tone richer. for pitch, it can be really helpful to play intervals on a piano or online and try to pitch match. there is a lot of great material for vocal training on youtube so i would start there. also maybe try singing in a non-slavic language? the nasally-ness can make it hard to sing correctly.

is there any way to develop your voice?
and I don't mean from "I have a good singing voice I want to get better"

>>
>>63467137
Yes.
Learn pranayama techniques for first-rate breath control.
Learn "Open Throat Technique".
Learn to accurately visualize the melody by listening to the song repeatedly before tackling it.
Experiment with your voice by listening to recordings of it and varying your approach.
Apply minimal effort necessary to achieve the intended result.
If it hurts, stop.

This wasn't bad, but it doesn't sound all to similar to Sung Tongs to me. Try tuning to open D, that has a really Sung Tongs-ish feel, and I think a couple of the songs are in that tuning. Have you listened to Prospect Hummer? That's another great acoustic AnCo project
