So I got myself a turntable. Its a modified Audio Technica PL-120 with a different cartridge and a bunch of damping under the platter and has the preamp stage removed. It was super cheap so it basically was a thrift shop impulse buy. I got to "test" it at the thrift shop, but with their old 45 and it worked well enough it seemed.

As of now, I don't have any LPs to test how well it actually works. Which are good ones that are recommended to just test out the sound, regardless of taste?

Turntable general as well to keep this more open and so this can be here for a while.

Skinny Fists is kind of essential.
The Bowie Reissues sound very good as well.

Rage Against the Machine's s/t is my go-to for testing a setup. Not even memeing. The production on that thing is immaculate and incredibly detailed and balanced.

Also Steely Dan - Aja is a tremendous test for a new setup.

I'd have to suggest this. The reissues quality is surprisingly stellar, and at least in my area they're cheap af

Also recc'ing Aja simply because its an amazing album.

I've heard Kid A is a very reliable print.
I have it and have had 0 problems with it.

Picked up a copy of AnCo - STGSTV for 25 bucks a couple weeks ago.
Some other valuable ones I've got include
Sun Kil Moon - Benji
Frank Zappa - Freak Out (Original pressing)
Death Grips - ExMilitary (bootleg/Grey Swirl)
Also have a copy of the most recent Silver Mt Zion LP signed by Efrim Menuck

Bjorks Vulnicura was produced by Arca and sounds great on wax, I'm sure Mutant sounds fine.

Early Canadian pressing of Diamond Dogs or first pressing Unknown Pleasures from Germany. Unknown Pleasures is more monetarily valuable, but Diamond Dogs has got the sentimental factor. Neither are particularly expensive though, only around like $80 - $100.

this is why you are the laughing stock of the fucking internet music discussion world

OP Here. Already used a protractor generator and adjusted the azimuth and overhang and height and weight. I think its pretty calibrated assuming the counterweight is proper.

Weight meaning tracking force I should say.

Any thoughts about this? It costs 95 euros and has AT-66 in it. Is it any good?
