Will there ever be a white four piece guitar band to achieve anything of note ever again?
>>63402087
yeah, good music is still good music. y'all are way too fucking paranoid.
>>63402087
Yeah, there are countless ones out making good music right now; it's called metal. Indie rock is dead, but metal is alive and well.
nope, exterminate all whites tbqh family
>>63402144
That's what I mean, music that appeals to Indie fan types.
Metal is kind of a normie thing at the moment, with bands like BMTH.
not-so-secret /pol/ thread
>>63402087
too problematic
and the guitar is clearly a phallocratic instrument. I mean just look at it.
>>63402234
>phallocratic
is this a joke or are there actually people who worry about things like this
>>63402211
May seem that way, but that wasn't my intention.
What I mean is will there be a band in the ilk of Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, The Killers et al that becomes huge again.
>>63402087
are you 16 and do you like merzbow
>>63402272
the 1975 got first place on billboard 200
>>63402254
I didn't invent the term, and I'm not the first to make a comparison between a guitar and a penis.
Take this as you will.
>>63402272
of fucking course there will.
What do you think that time suddenly stops here? That nothing new can be created that will peak everyone's interest EVER again?
Are you this dense?
>>63402310
The 1975 aren't really a straight up guitar band though.
>>63402087
Nope, QotSA is a 5-piece, and their drummer is black.
>>63402691
if that dude was black Obama is giganigga
>>63402365
rock is dead though as far as the mainstream is concerned
>>63402756
It's not like it's alive in the undeground/alternative scene.
>>63402790
it is, what are you on about. there is a big indie rock scene in my town, get involved a bit more
>>63402810
yeah I'm going to your town asap to hear countless smiths/MBV ripoff
>>63402720
Oh man I just googled him, you're right.
I guess when he had the afro it threw me off a bit.
>>63402835
i mean it's not really going forward per se but it's not dead dude. some interesting bands pop up here and there but as far as mainstream media goes, rock is dead.
Remember, metal and punk are subgenres of rock, and they're both thriving. Although new punk isn't mainstream anymore like it was from 75-85.
