I started collecting recently. Currently my collection isn't very large. I have some local stuff, whatever was appealing in the dollar bin, and I ordered a few DSBM cassettes online. The probably is that the shipping for cassettes can often be pricey for stuff I want, but none of the local record stores have anything of value.

This one, Electric Garden by Motoharu Sano, is quite large, I estimate it as possessing a width of 30cm and height of 20cm, and contains two books —featuring 50 poems, interviews with the artist and a lot of photographs and paintings— as well as the cassette tape.

I have two cassette books that were published by 冬樹社 SEED; one is by Akira Inoue and the other is by Hiroyasu Yaguchi (of Real Fish). 冬樹社 SEED have also published two other cassette books: Mania Maniera by Moonriders and Hana Ni Mizu by Haruomi Hosono. There's some backwardness in that the two that I own aren't available to download or listen to on the internet, whereas the two that I don't own are (Mania Maniera which has been released on many formats; Hana Ni Mizu is available by chance). The packaging is extremely nice, and the two that I own include (and the two that I don't own presumably include) 80-page, colour books about the musician, their aesthetic inspirations, et al.

The other cassette book that I own is Children Coup D'etat's S/T. It's post-punk (produced by Kaoru Sato), unlike the others which are all synthpop. It includes an odd comic-strip, and was released under B-SELLERS (the same record label that published John Duncan's Pleasure Escape —the one where he supposedly fucks a corpse)
