He has no identity of his own. He's a nice Jewish boy from Canada out of water in the 'urban' music scene. He's in desperate search of an identity to hang on to. He tried the gangsta rap thing for a while now he's trying grime; it's a bid for street credibility and it's just painfully embarrassing.
Boy Better Know haven't been the in thing in the UK urban music scene 10 years ago, it would be like a British artist joining G-Unit now and thinking it makes him accepted by the real rap artists.
Also Stormzy is okay but far from the best around, the best MCs at the moment is probably AJ Tracey.
