Got to agree with you here, I'm not feeling Antony's singing over the Mohawke beats one bit. Her voice is just too soft and sweet and his production is so loud and overbearing.

i mean the songs basically sound good i guess but the whole electronic sound just doesn't compliment her voice in the way that the old baroque stuff did
those sort of intimate, expansive orchestral arrangements on the antony and the johnsons stuff, and crying light in particular, really do a lot to amplify the gorgeousness of her voice

Agree, but I think that Volta is madly underrated. Wanderlust is one of my favorite Bjork songs, Earth Intruders and Declare Independence are my jams and overall it's a good project, but the song featuring Anohni is 8 minutes long and it sounds like they wrote the lyrics but didn't know how to end the music
