I'm a newfag in metal, this is my first time recommending, so please be harsh on this one:
- Vildhjarta, it's a djent band. Fite me, m8.
- A Lot Like Birds, it's a post-hardcore band. Yeah, I know, no cores, but please, check these guys out.
- Apocalyptica, it's a neoclassical/cello metal band. Seriously, you should definitely look into them.

Vildhjarta is literally the least rec-able djent band ever, there's no way you can know what djent is without knowing what vildhjarta is
post-hardcore is not core and this isn't /emo/
Literally the only people I know who listens to apocalyptica has in one point in their lives worn fedoras or still do.
If you like "new" old school death metal sound, check out Skeletal Remains. The vocalist sounds exactly like Martin van Drunen's (Asphyx, Pestilence)
