Do you mean metal that follows the pattern of being totally angry and heavy during the verse while making sure to throw in a hyper catchy and poppy clean vocal chorus? Because even then that's very vague. I'm looking for something more like specific genres or sounds (NWOBHM, death metal, black metal, power metal, etc)
Also metal without heavy guitar isn't metal, a metal band can produce an acoustic song/softer song but that song isn't purely metal
