I used to work in the back of an ice cream store from 9-5 and it was three or four people back there at a time. One guy demanded we only listen to "oldies" radio (they exact same 25 songs every day- Billy Joel, Elton John, CCR, etc). If he let us play some of our own stuff (mildly accessible indie rock) we were met with the above response. This is more of an etiquette thing now that I'm ranting but goddamn, me and the few other "alternative" people who worked there never bashed his taste. we like oldies too but in moderation
