Isam just kind of retreads the same line as Foley Room, but to the Nth degree, just shoving textures and samples in every orifice - which don't get me wrong, I love, but I don't think it's a better album than Foley Room

Dark Jovian wasn't exactly the return to form after all these years I hoped for either, it didn't even suffice as a placeholder

yeah this album rules. ninja tune is a hit or miss label imo, but when they have a "good" release it's phenomenal. also checked yo trips. very nice my man

It totally was, the sound design on ISAM is just now becoming a standard for the genre of IDM broken beat. Dudes like ARCA, Eprom WWWINGS are just now trying to get to that level.

i heard this album on mushrooms for the first time probably the same year it came out, and it was amazing. it's the only amon tobin album i've heard but I keep it on my music-playing-device all the time.
