The problem with attributing direct moral value to a charge of statutory rape is that the age of consent varies so much between countries. A relationship with an 16 year old may be perfectly legal and acceptable in one place and right across the border be considered rape. How reasonable is it to condemn someone morally (legally is another matter obviously) based on the geographic location they had sex with someone in?
