Why are reissues bad?
>>63163705
They're usually better, don't listen to the haters.
One exception: The original vinyl release of Daydream Nation has a locked groove on the last track that repeats for infinity, but not on the re-release.
>>63163705
They aren't always bad, but they usually have far lesser collectability, can have shitty mastering, packaging, etc, and with the modern market, reissues tend to cost more than original presses in VG+ condition.
I've seen kids drop 35 bucks on a new Dark Side of the Moon, and it just doesnt make sense
>>63163705
Usually overpriced, occasionally lower fidelity, generally lacks the cool packaging that OG pressings have. Other than that, people who only collect originals just because they're originals are generally semi autistic.
Only had to wait over a year for this shit.

Guilty pleasure dadrock
Just picked this up
>>63163705
Speaking from personal experience, the recent reissue of Hunky Dory sounds a lot more muddy than the original master.

I thought that was Evol, where the reissue still has it
Been at it for around a decade, but picked up pace collecting once I got a job. mainly popular releases with a few nostalgic choices.

I'm thinking about selling some of the colored pressings which I don't much care for now
>>63163771
I've been to a fair amount of record shops and I have never ever come across an original pressing of Dark Side. And $35 is actually the cheapest I've seen the reissue. Unless you go online, but that's no fun.
>>63163705
The most popular ones especially, are cheaply made as cash grabs for the millenials.
I have a piece of shit American reissue of Pink Moon, off-centered and with lots of surface noise, I wonder if the Back To Black version is any better.
