MF DOOM
>>
>>63139442
Tupac was more of a rapper for the people mixed with some thug stuff, Kendrick raps for himself and talks about his own issues more

Action Bronson because muh diversity
>>
>>63139499
i'd actually agree with this because the comparison works
tupac had way more political lyrics but biggie had better flow and was better at rapping in general
kendrick and DOOM are both better than tupac and (maybe) biggie tho
>>
When will you faggots stop sucking his dick. Hes good but hes not Tupac good. He also isnt the Tupac of this generation, hes the Kendrick Lamar of this generation.
>>
>>63139552
no one ever said tupac or kendrick was even good, we're just trying to find our modern time biggie
>>
>>63139544
I honestly can't see anyone be better than biggie, 2 albums and he's the GOAT. Gone way too soon.
>>
the most talented rapper (as far as flow and lyrics) that's also from Brooklyn would have to be Joey Bada$$
>>
these comparisons are always going to be terrible and way off but

>popular contemporary of kendrick's who's known less for the socially conscious/interesting lyricism that kendrick showcases and more for his unique and compelling flow, image and general style

sounds like young thug to me
>>
>>63139584
MF DOOM is waaay better than Biggie. Biggie's still good though.

>>63139552
>Hes good but hes not Tupac good.
He's literally miles better.

>He also isnt the Tupac of this generation, hes the Kendrick Lamar of this generation.
True
>>
>>63139442
Kendrick is more a modern Nas than anything

>inb4 Nas is still making music
Let's not kid ourselves
>>
>>63139544
DOOM is old and doesn't even fucking put out music anymore

he's kept two projects in limbo for almost a decade because he doesn't feel like it
>>
>>63139442
DOOM or Killer Mike, if we're talking about body mass
>>
>>63139696
dude's just riding a boat and living it up, I do hope he makes another LP tho.

>>63139698
damn, the amount of respect /mu/ holds for DOOM.
>>
As much as I like Biggie and Pac, I just can't see how they compare to even half the rappers in the game right now.
The great thing about music is that guys like that set a baseline that newer generations build on. They might have been great in their day but rapper like K.Dot, Open Mike Eagle, DOOM, Pusha T etc are better because they have the advantage of growing up with those guys and being influenced by them.

Why live in the past when it prevents progression?
>>
>>63139499
In terms of voice It's this.

However no-one can even touch biggie's rapping abilities and It's probably gonna stay like that for another 20 years or so
>>
>>63139798
I feel like DOOM was the needle in the hay stack that could be on Biggie's level in terms of flow and voice. Biggie's flow is better, but DOOM has his own unique flow which is incomparable.
>>
>>63139756
i don't idolize him like every other guy but i do think he's the closest to biggie, but as >>63139696 says DOOM released his best material 12 years ago
>>
>>63139842
>released his best material 12 years ago
>born like this was released in 2009
that doesn't add up anon.
>>
>>63139842
yeah, but you still write the man's name in all caps which shows a somewhat ounce of respect. A lot of /mu/ does idolize him though.
>>
kdot is a far better rapper than kendrick

Kanye = Modern Pac
Kendrick = Modern Nas
Drake = Modern Biggie
>>
>>63139655
That's reasonable

Pac - Kendrick
Biggie - Thugger
Jay Z - Drake
Nas - J. Cole

But Nas never reached the worldwide and commercial heights of Kendrick, also only illmatic is actually good
>>
>>63141077
I disagree. This is now a concrete term: vintage 90s apparel
>>
Killer Mike, he's even endorsed by Kendrick

>>
>>63139502
Yeah Kendrick is much more "conscious" than Pac ever was. I don't get the constant comparisons.

I mean I know Kendrick cites 2Pac as his inspiration a lot but they are 2 very different artists in terms of content matter.
>>
>>63139442
Kendrick can actually rap... tupac couldn't
>>
>>63141515
>mum i made a trolley post xD

KANYE
>>
>>63140774
