I listened to this for the first time today. I've listened to it 4 times in a row so far. It's fucking catchy as hell and great as fuck, Charli XCX is probably the least impressive part of the EP though but she flows well when she's rapping I guess. The production is fucking top notch.

Fucking /mu/ meme music. First i started to somewhat listen to chvrches, because lauren mayberry is constantly being posted here and now i have to listen to Charli XCX because she's hot.

Is everyone dick riding this because Fantano gave it an 8? Or am I missing something? I thought this latest ep was alright, but if the thing was an album it would have been fucking awful. The whole thing sounds tacky as fuck, I didnt mind the track secret, but that was still tacky as fuck. She tries, but her most interesting trait is how she looks. She kinda reminds me of when a rap fan tries to get into some unkown artists and they become Hopsin fans, just switch the genre. She's by far not the worst out there but incredibly over rated.

i loved the ep, but i do think it's lame she's just throwing in with these people who invented the whole sound. it's sort of weird because i think the whole project is better if they stay on the fringes of pop because of the whole tacky thing. if they throw in with a legit pop star it's like a reversal of the original thing.
Its a good little EP but has a lot to improve on. Most people here are only listening to it because of Fantano but he couldn't have been more off in his evaluation. Sophie is performing at a maximum of 35% (obviously to draw in a more mainstream crowd, especially with the "trapstyle" chorus on Vroom Vroom"), whereas Charli is putting in more than she ever has before so as to obtain the obscure crowd. I won't lie, this dichotomy makes for a decent record, but its not nearly the 50/50 output best new electropop record its been painted to be. I think Sophie has been and still is unrefined and Charli is a good vocalist who really flexed here, but the two efforts don't necessarily make for a record worthy of praise. I'd honestly rate this under the Jack U EP, but thats not to say I'm not looking forward to more from both Sophie and Charli
