What's the absolute loudest concert you've ever been to?
A metal show in a basement. I thought this one band had a cool shoegaze thing going on, but it turned out my ears were just ringing really loudly.

Standing for around an hour makes my back really sore, probably due to my minor scoliosis, but once I get moving it's fine. When I went to see Death Grips it was an hour of standing around as they played Fashion Week and their unreleased stuff and it killed my back, but as soon as they started playing and the moshing got underway my back felt great through the whole concert.

I went to some rave type thing in Poland. I have no idea who was playing but it was the loudest thing I've ever heard. I've been to metal shows, hip hop shows and lots of concerts in general but they didn't even touch this. The sound was making my teeth chatter and my ears were ringing for the next week.

2) a festival at the local fairgrounds, my friend was working several miles away and could clearly hear which songs were playing. Don't know how I didn't get noticeable long term hearing damage from standing in front of the stacks
1) a Genesis P'Oriddge performance. Shit was beyond loud, to the point where it's just doesn't get any louder from your ear's perspective but you feel it resonating in different organs

I had hearing problems for 2 whole days after a Phantogram concert, of all bands. It was probably the crowd, they were insanely loud. Not even seeing a Led Zeppelin tribute band right in front without earplugs lasted that long. Anyway, they turned out to be pretty freaking good, but also incredibly loud live. You wouldn't think so from their studio material, but it was intensely loud especially the guitar.
