I got a state based scholarship that was based upon minimum GPA levels and a military benefits based scholarship based on my parent's former service. I applied and wrote hundreds of essays for these "black scholarships", none replied, it was a waste of time. There was no "black money", there was only "good grade" and "military favoritism" money. There were still no "black scholarships" willing to pay for my books. That's a scam and a myth as far as I'm concerned. I put in the work, and none of them came through.
