dadrock is just a term invented by edgelords in the 90s in an attempt to convince people that nirvana is good. The term dadrock is outdated because it describes a certain kind of music in contrast to another kind of music which, at the time was fresh. The passage of time means that the music that sounded fresh at the time is now, in itself, music listened to by dads.
The obvious solution is to grow up and just listen to good music, regardless of how novel it is.
