~Tim Hecker, I kind of agree with everyone else on this but that album is way too much like OPN's early synth ambient.
I mean it's in Tim's unique style but even so it still sounds like Ravedeath and Returnal just met each other half way.
Which is weird because Tim is a much better composer than Lopatin (no offense to Lopatin), it seems kind of arbitrary to take on some of Lopatin's old ideas for a new album.

Futuro Antico was a really cool collaboration in 1980 (I believe) of composers using traditional and primitive instruments combined with electronics to create this weird mix of old and new. It gets really interesting when the venture into musique concrete, it sounds like some kind of ancient summoning.

Check out these guys, this album always felt like a slightly more serious version of FIDLAR's debut. Great melodies, crazy energy and it gets LOUD. Skip the first song though, it kind of sucks.

It's pretty good. I have listened to it about 3 times and like the sound of it. Although my favorite part about Everything Else Matters was the dank guitar work which seems to have become less dank in Grandfeathered.

here are some good examples. there's lots of great ambient work coming out of the vaporwave scene right now. reading the album/track names as you go (just use google translate if they're in a different language) really boosts the experience too. hope you can get into it, but if not that's cool too. to each his own etc
