I realize I'm completely lacking in bands or knowledge of good or even well known female singers. Ridiculous right?
So who are some of the best, who should I listen to? I'm starting with Joplin and Winehouse now, but who next?

i mean nico, kate bush and bjork are the essential starter pack imo but beyond that it really depends what you're looking for in a vocalist

Wildly subjective but to list a few, Julia Holter, Jessica Pratt, Sybille Baier (spellcheck on that name), and Natalie Prass are all favorites of mine to chill to. All of these women are posted often enough on here but if anyone would like to add a few names to look up, I'd appreciate it as well.
