TMR. Hot Rats maybe Zappa's best, but it's actually rather lacking particularly on the lead guitar side.

Don't listen to anyone else here. Joe's Garage is an amazing epic rock opera that should be listened to in full. One Size Fits All is great, especially Inca Roads (my favorite Zappa song) and Andy. He didn't really make consistent thought-out records, just kind of patched a bunch of different songs together.
