I mostly like it but I think you need to strike a better balance with the effects. Obviously reverb and delay and stuff area a huge part of the sound you're going for but I think you overdo it a little.
>>61942643
I'm pretty okay with this. There's some interesting variety on it. I generally don't have the patience for the kind of music that rewards waiting for the build up but I think Stranded in a Starbucks ended up being my favorite song. I'm not a fan of effects-laden vocals though.
>>61943423
Drugs at the beach. You nailed the feeling at the very least. I'm not really into this stuff but I think it's obvious you did a pretty good job.
>>61946784
Dude maantis is great. I think the productions quality is a little too harsh for my tastes but I still think it's good. I don't really like the other thing though.
>>61947254
Not into your music at all but I do did the album art quite a bit. I can't quite explain why but I love your font choice. It has this sort of post-modern futurepast atemporal look to it that fits the picture well.
>>
>>61947492

"nothing" is the shit, I really really enjoyed that. the effects gave it a wonderful fullness paired with the alan watts and i forget whom else vocal samples. "everyone" & "summer 2012" aren't really my jam but still good. "Cycles" is gorgeous. The spoken word on "afterword" is a little too loud above the instrumental, i like the reverse sections though. the pacing was a little strange, I'd say "An hero" should go at the end imo. props on your first release mane

greatly appreciated thank you thank you (I'm Jaryk)
i agree with you about 'afterword,' i was thinking today about turning down the volume on the vocals for the first part actually. thanks a lot for your feedback, i'll listen to the songs with the pacing you recommended
>>
>>61948171 here

Glowing Birds - dig the pavement/NMH style, wish the vocals were a tiny bit louder though, as i like your voice
Recitation - vox are louder on this one, but maybe the guitar is a bit over bearing. again, really like it apart from minor mixing gripes (which could well be your intention anyway to have vox low in the mix)
Lansing - probably my fave of the three I listened to, whole thing is dreamy and like american countryside

>>61948097

These instrutementals are really good - kinda cinematic and fully realised, and i like that you have a great deal of variety to them, just get a singer/vocalist bro.

Also, about 3 years ago or I was pretty active on doing collabs right here on /mu/. I ended up singing or playing on a bunch of others songs and got people to guest on mine, for example, I'm based in the north of england, but on my album these songs had /mu/ guests
eating animals - rapper from USA
Not Yet - female singer from phillipines
Black Russian - music in collab with elctro australian guy
manchester rain - beats by a texas electro guy

plus a bunch of others

Advice would be not to expect too much from others and dont expect too much from yourself, and be honest and open with others - if something isn't working then just say. try and have musical structures in place for people to add to your template rather than trying to meld things together

easiest way I found when looking for collabs was just to ask in soundcloud and bandcamp threads for singers or musicians
>>

Digging the instrumentals and your lyrics quite a bit, the punk shouting vocals aren't really my thing, i think your death growls sound better (though i think your screams sound cool in the higher register like "go on kick/kiss me i deserve it")
>>
>>61948189
straight fuckin jams yo. There are parts that are actually pretty good.
>>
>>61948171 here

I've commented on you before, a few months ago, i was pretty drunk, but i remember absolutely loving when the sysnths come in on o brother, where art thou, like i proper buzzed off it, as it is so unexpected and its a lovely synth tone too

overall, my feedback hasnt changed since last time, i think the vox have a tendency to be slightly low in the mix, but they are delivered very well and in suiting with the genre (which i much profess to not being much of an expert at all - i don't really listen to metal), but anyway, it all technically sounds like excellent musicianship just hampered slightly with a slightly muddy mix

but y'know when them synths come in - like turning people to dust and that lead guitar on top, woof. very good indeed.

>>61948491
thank you greatly for that feedback, it really means a ton to me. I'm actually working with a rapper currently on a project that'll probably drop around when i switch over. I'm definitely at a spot where it'll be connected, similar visions within the collective. I'm good at saying no I feel lol. I'm training a few friends on how to make music on their own so that'll beef up the roster in time too. Again, thank you for takin the time to respond.
