The donkey noises on 'Get Out of my House' were pretty experimental. plus Kate Bush was known for putting out slightly quirky but accessible music, so an experimental masterpiece like The Dreaming was pretty daring. The plebs who all liked "Wuthering Heights" probably were put off by it. Bjork, on the other hand, was known for her eccentricity and strange music videos, so Medulla and Biophilia weren't really that surprising coming from an artist known for experimental music like Bjork.
