that part alone tops any of Yanqui for me. I'm not saying it's a bad album at all, I enjoy it, but compared to anything else they've released it just is nowhere near the quality imo

There's something about Yanqui that leaves it far more orchestral than their other work. Especially rockets fall on rockets fall. I can listen to the majority of it and find myself swaying like a kite in the Afghan wind. It also leaves the listener knowing Efrim is a dark, mystic composer. Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress is just a rip-off in a way. The whole thing is just a rehash of Behemoth. I felt betrayed by GY!BE. I never woke up for the sake of being hurt.

Maybe I haven't given it a fair chance, I'm not sure. I've definitely listened to it a hell of a lot less than everything else they've done, but that's because it just doesn't draw me back. There are no memorable moments for me on it.
