Both are 10/10, but I just have so many fond memories of HCTWJ
90s (also guys, there's no apostrophe needed before the 's', if anything it'd be before the number.)

"Heroes" would be in the top 3, along with The Modern Dance. Station to Station isn't even in the top 3 Bowie albums from the 70s.

>Station to Station isn't even in the top 3 Bowie albums from the 70s.
As someone whose favorite 70s record is also Tago Mago, yes it fucking is mate.
Do you honestly put Ziggy Low and Heroes all above Station to Station? Heroes is not nearly as good.

"Heroes" is a solid 9/10 all the way through. Station to Station starts off really strong with the amazing title track followed by Golden Years, but I kind of lose interest after that point.
My top 3 Bowie albums are "Heroes", Low and Aladdin Sane. Thinking about it, Ziggy Stardust is probably better than Station to Station as well.

Heroes is better than Low though...

Also a good choice

>but I kind of lose interest after that point.
Word on a Wing is fantastic though, and both the title track and Stay easily surpass all of Heroes.
>>61838952
But that's wrong. Heroes isn't even as good as Lodger.

Well I disagree. Heroes' schizophrenic nature and wildness makes it very appealing to me, I think it ultimately has more identity as a Bowie album, the ambient stuff on Low is bit too Eno-esque. The dark, manic avant-garde pop of Heroes is the best thing Bowie's ever done imo.

Ironic as Eno had a bigger hand in Heroes than he did in Low.
I do agree it sounds more like a traditional Bowie record, but Low has more interesting ideas in less space, with a stronger side 2 if only because of Subterraneans.

OP here, just realized I posted the wrong album. This is what I meant to post

Stay is alright. Word On a Wing would be uninteresting as a 3-minute song, let alone a 6-minute one. The A-side of "Heroes" has far better, more concise songwriting in my opinion.
>Heroes isn't even as good as Lodger.
"Heroes" is more uniquely Bowie. Lodger sounds more like an Eno solo album ft. Bowie on vocals, and I don't particularly like Eno's solo work.
ITT: literal VH1 i love the 70s tier plebs.
