The muddyness is largely the appeal. For me I listened to it a few times without getting into it, but then I got really into Tumbling Dice, and listened to Stick Fingers,and then came back. Now its my favorite Stones album.

they're definitely the worst of the album and it doesnt help that they're one after the other near the beginning when the opening track is so strong
