- pioneer of studio techniques
- wrote fantastic songs across genres (rock, jazz, classical, psychedelic, doo-wop, reggae) and blended them seamlessly
- Scaruffi and Fantano love him
- had a racial integrated band during the civil rights era

You'd be hard pressed to find somebody with a more consistent stretch of quality/quantity of albums than Zappa from 1966-1979.

I included it because I'm trying to appeal to the kiddos on /mu/ and get them to listen to good music. You know, the kiddos who care about what other people think.
