these were all recent music/bands David Bowie liked.
I remember an interview with Bowie in a documentary on Pixies' Doolittle. He had surprisingly good taste and awareness in current music but I'm wondering if there are others.
He's been spotted at Animal Collective shows.
I also thought the clip of him talking about hip hop in the 90s was very prescient. It was obvious that he kept an eye on what was going on throughout the industry.
