Really though, Fell Voices is gotdamn amazing and sent me on my journey deeper into bm
Burzum is possibly the greatest Black Metal artist. However Paysage d'Hiver is one of my personal favorite as well.
Every album (demo) he's put out is great, but my personal favorite is either Kerker or Winterkalte.

Ethereal Shroud - They Became the Falling Ash might be one of the most atmospheric bm albums I've ever heard.

I wouldn't call HLTO an atmoblack album though. HLTO is atmospheric in the way all black metal is. But it doesn't like literally evoke forests like Ulver or Drudkh. HLTO is still my favorite overall black metal album though still to this day.

Really? When I hear the synths on that first track and Tomhet I am transported into the pathway and forests surrounding the album artwork.

That's nice, but unlike atmoshit that's explicitly trying to do that, HLTO is a lot more than that. Conceptually the journey definitely has fantasy imagery, but again it's all symbolism for a journey towards individualism and being yourself.
