I have come here recently and feel somewhat averse to starting a new thread just for one question. I feel it fits right here too:
What is the best, simple program to do the following things -
- Batch editing audio file attributes such as album
- Editing master volume of audio files
- Snipping beginning or end of audio files
After a hiatus of some years I have started to care what I listen to again, and as the library grows I am starting to feel the need to organise the mess proper.
Also, I like to download large playlists made by other people and discover what I like as I listen on the go - what is out there worth checking out?

depends on what yr looking for, but I'd download both A I A albums (Alien Observer & Dream Loss) and Ruins. Early stuff like Wide, Way Their Crept, Cover the Windows and the Walls is also worth dling.

I use a lot of it pretty regularly. A lot of my music predates me being particular about the music I download. The spectrogram and the spectrum help me recognize transcodes and the oscilloscope and the waveform seekbar give me a rough idea of what the dynamic range is like.
