What is your favourite music player and why?
I've been currently using both foobar and Winamp, Winamp seems more complete, but foobar seems more light.
Btw, anyone knows any good themes for foobar or Winamp? Minimalism themes for example.
I can't listen to music on my PC, so I don't use music players. When I am at my PC, I get the urge to do something else while listening to the music, which I hate because I want to focus on whatever I am listening to.
I don't like just lying down and listening to music either, because it feels like I need to get at least some physical activity for my body.
So I always listen to my music when I am going somewhere, or when I take a walk, which I do every night anyway. My walks are usually long enough for a whole album.

I don't know, a lot of different stuff. And I listen to new albums pretty regularly, so that's not it.
Talking walks is just very stimulating to me. I need something interesting to do while I walk, and I need something mundane to do while I listen to music. It's the perfect fit, but once I started that, I couldn't really listen to music any other way.

Why would anyone choose anything over foobar2000?
Everything you can do on a music player can be done on foobar (yet not everything that can be done on foobar can be done by other music players)

When I was in school music was a constant.
Now I'm at home or at work.
Can't listen to music at work and at home I need to do other things too.
Walking to work though; 25 minutes of just the music.

You have to spend a few minutes to tinker with it because the themes only seem to change the colors and fonts. Its pretty easy to edit though.

The lyrics plugin is great once you manually edit all 10000+ lyric files you have saved to have the same formatting a grammatical rules. It's great!

I was a foobar user for like 3 years after fucking it up and going back is a pain in the ass because plugins
With musicbee I got everything just after installing, the scrobbler, musicbrainz tagger, cover search, etc.
And the compact/mini player option is great
